Food and Donations in Kind make up a large part of our support, and on the What to give page we keep a current list of what the temple can use. It is always fine to email us and ask.
Time and energy are a valuable offering: joining in the daily schedule of meditation and helping with the work that maintains the temple. This includes a variety of tasks, from cooking and cleaning to ground maintenance, help with the newsletter, shopping, making tea. Work days are scheduled on the calendar and if you wish to come at other times please let us know.
If you have taken the Precepts and wish to deepen your practice or make our temple your spiritual home, you can become a Member. Members make a pledge to support the temple financially and with their presence, and are encouraged but not required to participate actively in ceremonial and other aspects of temple life.
Long term support may be to include the temple in your legacy or bequest.
We publish a quarterly Newsletter, which includes Dharma articles, temple news and photographs, and a current calendar of events. It is a form of outreach and Dharma offering that we do to support the temple and Buddhism generally. We send it out to anyone who has made donations in the previous year, and give copies away freely. During the holiday season we send out renewal notices and ask that those who wish to continue supporting the temple make a donation at that time.
